uess. Surgeon pulled it back up to the shoulder and sewed it to the outside bone. Did a year of rehab and had to sleep on a recliner for a year for it to heal. Couldn't lay down acct of the pain. Had my heart attack in 2013 due to stress of my job. Can't use Ibuprofen because of that so I had to use Tylenol and Cadillac Margueritas. Foothill Gold Line made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I went back to work full time in May 2020 as Freight Rail Coordinator for the expansion of the LA Metro Gold Line. Still there, hope to retire again in 2024. Starting my 49th year in the RR Industry in October. People ask me all the time why I don't retire. I have a good RR pension, 401K investments, There was an interview with Steve Young of the 49ers a few months ago. He was asked why athletes overstay their welcome and play until their bodies tell them to stop. He said that playing quarterback was the ONE thing he excelled at and you hate to give that up and go home to whatever is left. Railroading saved my life. when I had no direction, no future, no job. It is the ONE thing that I am REALLY good at. So I continue moving forward...
