I recently accepted a position as Regional Director for a national software company located in New Jersey and travel all over the country, but work from my home office in Kentucky. I left the Army because I hated to be away from home & replaced it with a job where I travel a lot. Pays more than the good old government would have given me after a lifetime of service, so I have no complaints. I've been all over the world in the past few years.
Those of you who knew me in High School more than likely remember a troubled kid. Someone who was constantly in trouble or worse yet missing completely. Sadly enough that kid followed me to college where I scraped through by the skin of my teeth. Even though I had professors willing to spend their time to help me be more. I graduated....and it's just a piece of paper now.
All of that changed when I joined the Army. Some people call it programming, I like to call it conditioning. The U.S. Army helped to sharpen the rough edges of my spirit. I experienced an awakening and my personality received some much needed growth. So far nobody that I personally knew has been killed in Iraq, I praise god for that. I also mourn the ones who have fallen in combat. I was 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment - 101st Airborne Division.
One thing most of you probably didn't know was my skill with people. Funny, one of the most antisocial kids in school found he really liked people. When I got into computer sales I found that I was the kind of person that people felt like they could talk to and trust. Being a great sales person isn't just about being a good talker, it's also about being a good listener. You may be able to get customers by being deceitful and having very little integrity, however the sales person that is honest and becomes a true friend to his customer keeps them for life.

I wish I had spent my time at Coronado more wisely. I wish I had made more friends, life long friends.
I wish I had been a kinder person.
I wish I had gone to Prom.
I wish I had taken school more seriously.
I wish I had participated in sports.
I wish I had been more mature.
I wish I had seen my fears for what they really were.
I wish........
Everybody is Somebody to Someone! Don't treat others like you want to be treated, because some people don't care how others treat them. Treat others like you would want someone you care about to be treated. That server at the restaurant, the guy working at the gas station, the pizza delivery person, they are all dealing with the struggle called life. It doesn't take much to boost their spirit. Be kind to people, you only get one shot at it. You never know how heavy a load someone is carrying. It doesn't take much for us to help lift just a few ounces even if only for a moment.
I have become a very religious man. I guess you could say I found Jesus. However I like to think he found me. I pray constantly in every aspect of my life. I don't always get what I want, but I find that I get what I need. Even when things go wrong I feel his comfort and touch on my life.
In my travels I've met some wonderful people. Northern people say I sound Southern, and Southern people say I sound Northern. I think it's because I don't have any accent at all. I spent most of my early years looking for a place to call home. I've found that I was carrying home with me all along, inside.
I like to work out on my bow-flex and treadmill while watching Star Trek (all of them). I eat healthy and live a healthy life.
For those of you who knew me then.....you'd find a very different person now.
I feel like I've learned a lot from my regret. I can now pass that knowledge on to my children to help make them stronger individuals.
I'm truly blessed and have received more in the past few years than I've ever deserved. I would love to hear from old friends and new ones as well...hit me up.
