Keri's Story

Life Happily married with children ... 4, in fact!(3 girls and 1 boy) My days are spent keeping up with my oldest daughters in college and homeschooling my youngest teenage daughter and young son, turning my life-long hobby (photography) into a profession and cheering for my younger 2 in all their sporting events. My heart is in my Lord Jesus Christ, my husband and family, Europe, teaching and writing, encouraging youth, computer graphics, portrait photography and watching my family grow up! LIFE IS CRAZY, BUT GOOD! :o) Speaking of my family growing up ... my eldest daughter (23) is in her last semester of college studying for a career in the music industry. Eventually Nashville, NYC or LA will be calling her name, I'm sure. My 22 year old obtained her AA and an AS in Emergency Medical Services, and is now a certified Firefighter Paramedic. She still wants to pursue a career as a musician/songwriter/vocalist and that's picking up momentum after being on the backburner for awhile. As of Apr 2010 she will be a bonafide recording artist/songwriter!! My youngest daughter is our athlete and runs varsity xcountry and track and has played flag-football and softball. (A daughter of mine finally is playing the sport I loved and played - softball!) And, my son is our other athlete ... good at every sport he tries. One day, if we're lucky, he'll support his ol' mom and dad with his millions! <grin> LIFE IS GOOD! :o) School My biggest crush in high school, huh? Well, there were ... Rick, who I went to prom with and Joe, who was like an older brother to me and then my oldest and dearest friend, Brian. I had a number of teachers who inspired me. Of course, Mr. Slater in architectural drawing stands out just because he was cool, sent me on those Duncan Donut runs off campus, and made it fun to be the only girl...Expand for more
in a classroom of all guys. Then there were a few of the English teachers who I can't remember their names exactly who seemed to know how to draw out my creativity. Would I do it all over again? Yeah, I'd do the same stuff all over but I'd be a little less insecure, more carefree and really enjoy that time more. Wouldn't it be great if we could start life old and grow younger? How I would love to go back to those years knowing everything I know now!!! WOW! :) Fondest memories? How about senior skip days spent at the springs or Brian G's pool w/ Carp and Kaye? Or going 0 to 60 very quickly in Rick Nash's car on the 1/4 mile strip behind the Winn-Dixie? There's a reason why his car got the reputation for being the fastest in Pine Hills! Riding back on a bus with Chorus after winning superior rating at states ... there's nothing like a roadtrip on a bus to get couples to pair up on the night trip home!!! lol How about confusing ol' Mrs. Devoe in her Spanish class with everyone lining up at the pencil sharpener while her back was turned? Can you say, "Que pasa?" lol Driving Cameros in driver's ed ... did we have it good or what? Slater's nest ... comprised of 2 Ricks, 1 Craig, 1 Jim and then me. Performing "How'd you like to spoon with me?" as a flapper in Mr. Argrett's American Gov't class. I can't believe I did that! Skipping out on the senior cruise to travel to TN with the baseball team. What a week! Getting advice from Joe Madden. Hanging out at Fashion Square, of course, to shop and see the Navy guys! Remember those days, Alice? Listening to BJ105 in Mr. Slater's class. Pinning a diaper costume onto Brian Giessuebel for the 10th grade float for the homecoming parade (he was supposed to be a baby Trojan). There's so many more great memories ... too many to write. It's fun reminiscing, though. :)
