Keri's Story
Where is one to start? This will be a condensed version...I left 29 Palms in 1979 and moved to Redding, California. I attended some college and worked for the school district where I lived at the time. I then stayed home for a couple years while my children were young, and next worked in a Cedar Mill in Anderson, CA in the purchasing department and assisted the Forester with secretarial and accounting functions in that department. I stayed with the county for many years. I have two children, Hannah and Josh. My son Josh was a Sgt in the US Army, and passed away in 2007. This is still very difficult to talk about, so will leave it at that for now. I miss him dearly, he was my life's greatest gift. My daughter Hannah, my joy, my best friend, resides in the Sacramento area, so I decided to pick up my roots in northern California and move to Sacramento to be near her and my two grandchildren (grandkids are awesome). My life has begun again, and I chose to go back to school recently (I am now 50) and am studying medical assisting. I love challenging my mind again, and am enjoying this new direction. There's much more, but alas, not enough room. I guess this wasn't much of a condensed version, but for anyone who knows me, when I write, it is never condensed. :o)
