Keri's Story
Life
My husband and I have been happily married for the last 28 years, and have a 10 year old son, who is of course, wonderful, with a great sense of humor! The most important decision I have ever made was to invite the Lord into my heart when I was 17, which is now a very long time ago! :-)
After graduating high school and completing one year of college in NY as a double language major, I joined the Army as a linguist, where I met my Navy husband, also a linguist. We were both eventually stationed in Japan. After 4 years in the Army, I switched to the Navy Reserves and completed my education in political science and also language and area studies at the University of WA in Seattle.
I have always loved to travel and eat in nice restaurants. As a result, we have lived in Japan twice, as well as in TX,...Expand for more
MA, MD, WA, and our favorite, CA. I am currently a Commander in the Navy Reserves, and the Commanding Officer of a reserve unit stationed in Spain. As a civilian, I am an attorney, living and working for the Army in Germany. My husband is also an attorney, but gave up his CA practice to move first to the Tokyo area, then to Germany. He is currently actively writing, acting in, directing and producing his first movie and having a blast!
Since we are not yet 50, there is still much ahead to accomplish and we can hardly wait for our next adventure ... although we are still really enjoying this one! Don't ever give up on your dreams. It is not the most beautiful, the most talented, nor the smartest who succeeds. It is the one who is persistent and never gives up, despite the challenges! Go for it!!!
