Kerin's Story
After getting my "5 yr" BS.Ed at KU midyear of 1991 (It's a program including a 4yr degree plus 1 yr of gradwork and student teaching) I ended up getting a job in publishing "for now" and ending up loving it. Did various publishing related jobs, including Woodward Publications and at Allen Press until 1995. Then worked at Lawrence Journal World doing web publishing. Moved to California in 1996, where I joined a start up called Marketlive, as a web developer. Still work there, but now I am in the IT department, and am a night manager/technical rep in the Network Operation Center. I am not married or currently with anyone, but i do own a house in Vallejo, California. I love California, and especially the San Francisco Bay area. My hobbies are numerous and varied, but include strategy board gaming (playing and design), concerts, social networking, and my favorite outdoor sport is whitewater rafting. I'm still an inveterate reader, and science fiction and speculative fiction is still my favorite genre. I still draw sometimes, and write a little.

ruly happy, I wouldn't want to be anywhere other than here, but i wouldn't mind finding again someone who would like to share my life and some of these same activities.
As to how I hope old friends remember me - I could hope that they remember me as more poised and together than I really was... but from the perspective of the last several decades, I'm pretty sure that ship has sailed! I had a lot of good friends and acquaintances in High School, from every group from the science classes to the theater and art groups. I don't think I really figured much out until college. though, so I think I didn't appreciate a lot of the people I knew in High School as much as they deserved. Hope everyone has had a great life so far, and if you are ever in the San Francisco Bay area, send me an email and see if it works out to get together. I live about halfway between SF and Napa Wine Country, so either direction is a possibility, and I'm not all that far from the coast, either. It's a spectacularly beautiful area - a great place to visit.
