Kerri's Story
Life
After high school, I went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study to become an elementary school teacher. College was lots of fun! I stayed in the dorms at LAR through 1st semester junior year. I was still dating Peter Saltigerald through college and we became pregnant at the beginning of junior year. I had Isabella at the end of my junior year and brought her down to school with me in the fall of 2003 to finish school. It was really tough, but I graduated in May of 2004 with a BS in Elementary Education. son Elementary in Bloomingdale came along in October. Peter and I decided to finally call it quits in September of 2004. I worked at Erickson for the whole school year. During that same fall, I reunited with a guy I dated when Peter and I had had a 3 month breakup once. Mike proposed to me on Valentine's Day 2005 and we are getting married on August 5th 2006! I moved in with Mike this June. I also became a 2nd grade teacher in Schaumburg this summer and I start teaching during the week of August 22nd. My daughter is 2 years old and soooo beautiful and smart! I also work 2 days a week as a secretary at a real estate office. So, things have been really busy, but exciting as well!
