Kerry's Story
Well, I didn't actually graduate high school. I attended East Junior High for 9th grade and then I attended Woodland Hills High School for most of 10th grade. I dropped out of high school at the end of 10th grade. I was a wild one! I ran away from home and lived in Florida for awhile with my first love and high school sweetheart. When I came home I was pregnant. I had my daughter, Vanessa on April 30, 1993. I got my GED a year later. Then I earned my Associate's Degree from CCAC. ure. I missed school really bad, so I went back and got my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Before I graduated from Pitt, I got married in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I've been married now for 4 years, we have a our 14 year-old daughter, Vanessa, a healthy son named Ryan who is 1 and a half years old, and our little doggie Ben who is 3 years-old. We still live here in Turtle Creek. I work part-time in the social services field helping the homeless find permanent housing. I am still in touch with several friends I went to high school with.
