U.S. Army 1972 -74 . My duty assignments were Fort Ord, Ca. for Basic and A.I.T. Training. Assiigned to the 2nd Infantry Division, 2nd Engineer Battallion, Transportation Specialist for 13 months in the Republic of South Korea.
I missed serving in Viet Nam because President Nixons troop reductions and the ongoing Paris peace talks. Squeeked by on that war!
My last 6 months in th U.S. Army I was stationed in Arlington VA. at Arlington Hall Station . My assignment during that time was to transport Officers ranking from Captains to Generals to the Pentagon and to the National Security Agency in Maryland, Va.
I earned an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4 on June 27th 1974 ending my brief military committment. After returning home to the bay area, I went back to college and obtai...Expand for more
ned an A.A. Degree in Administration of Justice. During that time of schooling I worked as a grocery checker at Frys Food Store in Campbell, Ca.
In 1975 I tested and was accepted to the rank as a San Jose Police Reserve Officer. I remained as a Reserve officer until I Tested for the CHP in 02-1976. After very lenghty process of testing I was offered a position as a State Traffic Officer for the CHP.
I Entered the CHP Academy, located in Bryte Ca. located just a few miles from downtown Sacramento on 12-12-1977. Gradguated from Academy 05-12-1978.
I Transferred to Santa Fe Springs for first duty assignment. The office bordered Buena Park, East Los Angeles, Downey, Baldwin Park and Hacienda Heights. I worked there 1 1/2 half years and then transferred out to The Banning office. That office bordered Riverside, San Bernardino and Indo CHP offices.
I transferred to Riverside CHP office for nine months and then transferred back to the Banning office . In November of 1983 I transferred to the Crescent City office. In 1989 I transferred for my last time to the Humboldt CHP office, where I continued to work my last 15 years with the CHP.
I retired from the CHP December 9th 2003 at age 50. The last 6 years I have be working as is my wife for the Northern California Community Blood Bank in Eureka Ca. I will turn 59 years on December 9th 2012.".
