Kevin's Story
After high school I pursued a career with the Department of Energy at their national research laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after going to college and graduating with a 4.0. They require 3.5 GPA minimum so I lucked out.
Sandia National Laboratories, the DOE primary development lab for arming, fuzing and firing for our nuclear weapons stockpile, and a sister lab for Los Alamos National Laboratories.
I started there in October 1980, two years after getting married. Our first son was born in Illinois (Park Ridge) and our second son in Albuquerque.
I lived there for 31 years. Now I live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, a southern suburb of Denver. I have remarried, and am happy as a clam. My wife, Carmen, is extremely, scary- intelligent, and works as a program Lead for General Atomics, based in San Diego. She works at home. I am fully retired now and am loving every minute of it...Expand for more

I miss Chicago - mainly Italian beef and GOOD PIZZA!!! :D I also miss all the wonderful; sights to see there since I never cared much when I lived there, but I had a chance to take my wife there not too long ago: To 1) Visit Romano's Pizza, 2) To go to Wrigley for a Cubs game, and 3) Take the Chicago Architectural Society Boat Tour of the Chicago River to see all the the amazing buildings I never saw when I lived there. We had a BLAST! We stayed at the Hilton Chicago on 700 S. Michigan right when they were filming Mind Games there, a new series. That's where they filmed the closing scenes of The Fugitive with Harrison Ford, also a Maine East alumni.
I love Chicago and my heritage there. I miss it dearly, except in January ...(HAHA!!)
God bless my friends from high school at ole Maine East. Too many to list by name here, but we had fun, didn't we?!!!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!
God Bless!
