Kevin's Story
Life
I moved to Texas about eleven years ago, the last eight of which based in Dallas. Last year I started my own consulting business. It was done in part to have some freedom to work on projects I want to work on, when I want to work on them. The other aspect was to reduce the excessive traveling I have done since college. After 10+ years in Big 5 (then) Accounting, another 4 years with other consulting firms, I had about enough working for someone else. Fortunately, it's working out well and I am the best boss I have ever had. The added subliminal added benefit is that removes one former conversational tool from my arsenal, complaining about work or travel. If I'm annoyed now, no one to blame but myself.
Anyhow, from a relationship side, I haven't met the right girl yet, although it has definitely not been for a lack of looking. I'm beginning to think dividing your age by two and adding seven seems to be the age bracket I am looking for, at least right now. For whatever reason the math does work.

er a 4 year old golden retriever named Kasey. She is always happy to see me and aside from the elongated sniffing of my clothes upon my return to make sure I didn't see any other dogs while I was out, she's grief-free. So whomever I meet will have a will have to attempt to minimize my grief, since I am accustomed to none.
Activity wise I play golf on most weekends (8-9 months a year) and usually stop when college football season begins, which is pretty much a southern religion. I share season tickets for the Dallas Stars with one of my buddies, so I end up at 15-20 regular season hockey games and every playoff game. I could go to more regular season games but I'm trying to avoid having to get on a donor list for a new liver and Hockey games don't help accomplish that goal. Hockey without multiple cold beers is a life I have no interest in experiencing. I do attend other sporting events throughout the year, such as some Mav's games, an annual tailgate party for the Cowboys, etc. and the occasional college football game.
