Kevin's Story
I entered the military after high school and, omitting the details, I am still in the military. I was out of the Army for 9 years and re-entered shortly after 9/11. I have 5 kids now, divorced(on good terms), and currently reside in Egypt.
I still run but it's more for causes now, where it was for fun and victory in HS. My sister lost her fight with cancer in July, 2009 so, like Melissa Etheridge says, I run for life and to honor the memory of my sis. I have run half marathons 5K's, 15K's, but have yet to tackle a full. I plan to attempt one in Europe since it is just a short hop from where I am. I was looking at San Sebastian, Espana but my time line has been moved to the right so I will have to see what events are coming up and adjust...Expand for more
fire.
I showed my youngest daughter around Central when I was home during the summer of 2009. She was very excited to see where her Daddy went to school. I was pleasantly surprised to see that MRS. Stott still taught there and was hoping that "WEB" a.k.a. Mr. Weber was still around. He retired just last year. It was nice to share a walk down memory lane with my genius future doctor beside me.
I was able to make it to our 10 year reunion, and was asked if I would be at the 20 year. I very much wish I could, but my commitment to the Army is going to prevent that this time, since I will not be back until Sept. 2010.
All in all, life has been good to me. I have many things to be thankful for including my memorable experiences at CCHS.
