Kevin's Story
Well, only 30 years after finishing my BSc Agr at Guelph, I finally stopped with the bookwork. After 7 silly years part time in grad studies ( 2003) , building a new house where my old family house had been, expanding my business, becoming a grandfather ( grandson in October 2009), and so on - I finally graduated with my PhD from Brock and graduated formally last week funny hat and all.
Now spending time consulting, building ( right now a gazebo and finsihing off the basement in the house, expanding the pond development around the house and helping family with building stuff) and learning things each day. Have been going to China twice each year with consulting as well as getting to see lots of the US and new Zealand and Australia.
Two dogs, two cats and too many fish ( in the pond). Like others post 50, I am working on losing a few extra pounds and trying to keep the few extra hairs I still ha...Expand for more
ve! It is a great ride with many ups and downs along the way ( My mom passed away in 2004 and Dad in March 2010 ) but it fun nonetheless.
In cleaning have founds old yearbooks and even a Let Pelham Live bumper sticker and commencement programs my Dad had kept until the school closed.
Lots of funny, awkward, silly and embarassing memories from seeing the stuff ( also some wish to "do over " things and people I would like to let know thanks for being part of my life ) and how I looked back in high school and earlier - even old baseball team photos. Pretty good to make one smile and glad to have had the chance to be with so many remarkable friends and colleagues over the years. And there is still more to come I am sure I will not even have imagined To one and all do no5 be afraid to let others know what you've done and who you are now. Might lead to renewing good friendships and starting new ones!.
