Kevin's Story

Life Hi everyone, Where do I begin? Well I'm still in Alaska and love it but I do miss Florida at times. I retired from the Naval reserves about 8 years ago, it was just a part time thing I did on the weekends for 20 years! During that time I was also a Sale's Manager for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream for almost 20 years, yep I sold Ice Cream in Alaska. Although all my training and schooling that I had was for Avaiation technology. I got into sales and loved it. The past 5 years I've been working in the Media and marketing field and I guess at 47 years old I've finally found a job I really love! I also Coach Football and Fast Pitch Softball at a local HS. I was married for 16 years and have been divorced for 8. My kids have lived with me for most of that time. So I've been doing the single father thing for the past 8 year, I'm very lucky because I have great kids! I have a daugher (Amber) who will be 25 in June, a 5 year old grandson (Dillon). Amber is a nurse for a local Docotor. My oldest son (Justin) will be 20 in December, he currently play's Jr. Hockey for the Eugne Generals in Oregon. My youngest son (Jarrett) will be 18 in January and is a Sr. in HS. He is an awesome Football player who was a 3 year starter on Varsity. My kids and Grandson are pretty important to me, so I spend a lot of time doing activities with them. Since my divorce I've dated on an...Expand for more
d off but have not really found that special person yet. So I'm currently single and enjoying life. So I'm on the look, someday I would like to marry again. I really enjoy traveling and over the years I've been to Mexico (several times), Jamaca, Austrailia all over the USA..I really enjoy going to Las Vegas not really a gambler but I love the show's, concerts and just having a good time. I do go down to watch my son a lot when he is playing. He plays a lot in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Canada etc. I think he will be going to School somewhere on the East Coast next year. My youngest son (Jarrett) is still home with me, but we are looking at a lot of different options for school for him next year also. So I could be a empy nester next year...What will I do with all my time? TRAVEL!!!! Anyhow I love Alaska, It has been good to me and all my kids were born here...but I still call Inverness home and I miss a lot of my good friends. Although I do stay in touch with a lot of folks I would love to hear from you all and reconnect! I have plenty of room at my home so if anyone ever travels through Alaska...you have an open invatation for a place to stay. We really need to have a 30th reunion in 2008. It would be great to see everyone, it's hard to beleive it has almost been 30 years!!! Wow!...Hope to hear from some old friends....Take care....Kevin
