Kevin's Story
Life
Life has been like a Great and Wild roller coaster ride.
Thank goodness more Ups than downs.
For I am doing those things today I only dreamed about yesterday.
I married Christine (Isenhower) in 1976. She was a Pleasant Valley H.S. grad of 75, who I have known since I was 3 years of age. We will celebrated our 35th Annv. this last Feb.
Adding to the family started in 1980. We have 4 children, Jess who's 31 , Charlene & Carrie (twins)who are 29 and Jon at 25 and 6 Grandchildren
We live on acerage located north/west of LeClaire IA. We have horse stables, (previously private airstrip), hanger, and more.

I feel it's good to be a caring, reliable part of the community, so I joined the LeClaire Fire Dept. in 1999. serving as a Firefighter/First Responder. Retired from the Department in 2008
WAS BUST'N MINE - 2 B SAV'N YOURS
In 2001 obtained my U L Pilots license and then my Sport Pilot License Oct. of 2007, own & fly a Challenger Clipped Wing Special (experimental / kit plane), flew from our private 1400' airstrip for approx 6 years located here at home, up until 2006.
I purchased a vintage 1946 Ercoupe (AirCoupe) 415C in 2007 and now hanger at Davenport Airport
Also have had the pleasure to display my aircraft in the Quad Cities AirShow 8 of the past 10 years. I have volunteered time on the Flight Opertions Ground Crew during the Q C Airshow for 6 years.
I'm currently President of the ILLOWA Sport Flyers Club - EAA Chapter #188, which was un-officially the largest EAA Chapter in the U.S.
We have 6 horses and enjoy trail riding, & light rodeo / show competition. We also enjoy the membership of several horse clubs located in E.Iowa,& W. IL. it keeps us active in our riding. We are active in our church, also enjoy outside activities such as camping, fishing, playing on the 4x4 Quad. and recreational flying.

Workplace History
Earlyest I recall was baling hay with the local farmers from ages 12-15, and working many weekends with my father doing roofing, residental,and some light commercial types
My first job with a regular paycheck was working for a friends father from 1970 till July of 1974 at the Robo/DX Car Wash. It was located on W. Kimberly Rd across from the Village Shopping Center .
Also for about 7 months for Ron Morris ( Candymans) at his motorcycle shop at 15th St and State St. in Bettendorf during the spring & summer of 1973
Started in the commercial-industrial roofing trade in July of 1974 at Economy Roofing Co. which at that time was located in Davenport, IA. I became a foreman at Economy Roofing after only 5 years. I enjoyed a good 12 year relationship with the company
My Father, oldest brother, and myself broke away from Economy Roofing Co. and started the family's business,
Lee's Bi-State Roofing Co. in April of 1986.
My youngest brother joined the company in 1990.
In 1999 my father and oldest brother both retired.
Younger brother left the Company in the Fall of 2010 to pursue other interests.
We have gained a good solid customer base, such as John Deere & Co., Alcoa, St.Ambrose Univ., Palmer College,
N/W Bank, U.S. Bank, just to name a few.
We also attained MASTER CONTRACTOR with Firestone Building Products. First in1998 than also2001, 02, 03, and 04.
and still maintain a Partners in Quality statis
I still own and operate the family company which is well known & respected with-in the commercial/industrial roofing industry. To which we have obtained many awards and honors over the past 25 plus years, and continue to maintain a strong customer base in the Quad Cities Area.
On a high Note: I now have 37+ years in the roofing industry.
Whew.... did'nt think I'd make it this long. :-)
I may even decide to retire someday.
