Kevin's Story
My life has evolved in a most unexpected to me (prior to 2017) way. In addition to my job my top priority and what gives my life purpose is providing the best life for my 23 feline children. I hate the word 'owner' when used to describe people like me. I hate the word 'pets'. The 23 beautiful souls I share life with are my kids. I am their dad. I have lost 4 of my children to old age and illness but I did everything possible to give them the longest and best life. Time does not heal all wounds. The grief never goes away. Most recently I lost my girl Ellie to a very long illness December 19, 2021. Did everything possible to fix what took her life. It hugely sucks. No proper words for it. Still very much love my babies who are no longer physically part of my life. They are still very much a part of my life.

neutering is critically important but they also now have everything they need for a long happy life. Not possible with the outside/feral life. Disease, parasites, starvation, other animals, mean humans, vehicles, illness, etc. Outside life is not helpful to longevity. I can't save all of the neighborhood homeless kitties but I've trapped most and I keep trying. My life is all about them....kids present and future.
4/28/2022 update:. Christmas Eve 2021 was the date I trapped Ellie 2. Literally saved his life and my girl Ellie, from the next life, sent me a message to set up traps that night.. It rained heavily that night and the next two days were snowy and the temp remained below freezing. Ellie 2 likely would have frozen to death.
Ellie 2 has transitioned well to inside life. Haven't seen or trapped any homeless kitties since that night. It appears all of the formerly homeless neighborhood kitties now have a home. My home.
