Life I guess the best way to describe my life since high school would be to call it a wild ride so far. I attended Syracuse University in New York for one year where I majored in Advertising and played baseball (not bad for a walk on at a Division 1 school). After that year I came home for what I thought were all the right reasons. Turned out those reasons didn't last long but they say things happen for a reason. I attended Michigan State University for a semester before I became disillusioned with the quality of the school in comparison to Syracuse (Go Orange!) and dropped my classes. After that I jumped head long into the work force and worked in restaurant management for about 12 years. One day I just woke up and thought "Is this really where I want to be". Daily thoughts of crashing my car on the way to work made me realize that although the money was good, it was not worth the misery. During ten of those 12 years I was also a member of the Burton Fire Department. This is without a doubt the most rewarding profession that I can think of. I am and always will be proud to be a firefighter. Following my miserable decade in the restaurant business, I went to work for a security company. This is not quite as rewarding as doing firefighting but at least it makes a difference in people's lives. I guess that is what I wanted to do, make a difference. I have worked in the security industry for going on 4 years and am currently the Director of Operations for the most well known security company in Genesee County. On to the personal stuff.
