My first car was a 1951 Chevy power-glide 4 door sedan, I will never forget that the car needed a battery so I bought a 12 volt battery and put it in,I was so proud of myself! right, needless to say my grandpa wanted to call me a dumb-ass but couldn't find the nerve so he was very kind in telling me that this car ran on a 6 volt system and he couldn't believe that I didn't burn the car up! when you turned the headlights on you could see about 15 miles down the road!
