Lydia (Jennie)'s Story
Started out my freshman year in Adrian (Drager middle school), met a young man who to this day is unaware I bore his son. My sophemore year I started at the high school but my sweetheart (Jeremiah) had to move with his father to Texas, so I ended up doing my exams in the maternity ward (6-6-77). So I spent my junior year at Sandcreek High, while my son spent much of his first year in and out of the hospitals; U of M, Herrick, Bixby's and St.V's. My last year I spent at Deerfield High. It was a hard fight to hang on to my son, but after two years, five months twenty-one days and six hours, I lost him to the State of Michigan. y that supplied his nourishment(Cho-free) was responsible for undernourished (failure to thrive) children, but that imfomation was kept from the courts (or Judge). I was tired of watching my baby run after me when I'd go visit him....see him cry and screaming week after week....I made the decision to let him have what I had and what I couldn't give him. Both a mother and father. I cryed one whole week then I went against my family's decision and refused the appeal papers.
I believe it was all O.K. in the end. I'm a believer in signs. I lost him on October 29th. 1979, and to my surprise I gave birth to twins on October 29th 1980.
He also came to me when he was eighteen years old. He stands 4'6 (kidney damage) and he looks just like me.
