Kiisa's Story

I see some from Selma High remember me too. I remember Alegra J, Kammy/ie H, Richard G., Sammy M, my B'BACC friends and family, to name a few. I also went to Keith HS and there I remember Daphne M, Regina L, Rena, Terry M, Omar, Thomas, Yolanda "Babe" R, to name a few. After leaving HS, I went to Talladega where some of the names I recall from there are Teresa D, Evette N, Asim O, Mark, Shanda H, Keisha E, Leslie, LaTonja, Ytteb, Carl, Erica, Tangela, Audrey, Thomas (left after the 1st semester), Anthony A (not from my class). There are others I remember their face or something that stood out about them but the names escape me, like the spiritual faith dancer from Chicago or the young lady with lots of hair from Bessemer. One young lady I did remember (also from Chicago) and saw in social media. Sent her a message and she did not respond. I won't name her here. Also from those days, I remember Kadijah but I think that was Upward Bound during my Selma High days. I recall Sabrina from then as well and she had a cousin whose name I do forget but the funny thing is this being such a small world, that cousin went on to meet my cousin and gave him a necklace I recognized. Thank you for indulging the short trip down memory lane. If any of you are named, you might not even remember me and that's ok. =============================== The daughters are now 25 and 21. The 21 yr old, Ms. Amazing, graduates with honors this year (2016). The 25 yr old (Ms. Awesome the TomBoy) served this country for 6 yrs in the Navy while working on her 4 yr degree. Her family is expecting their first child this year. The boys are now 12 and 10, now refers to themselves as men and wants me to know they are a "man's man". They too refer to themselves as awesome and amazing and there is a competition to prove they are better than the girls. Life's a riot here with these characters. I still remember some birthdays after all these years: Lela, Debra, Cornelius, (and ...Expand for more
though he moved before graduating with us, Mark). I don't pay the premium for this account so I don't get to see who visits. I do get messages it seems. I have a fb page, though I don't get to get on it much. At least more than here so hit me up there. I do get back.--eventually. I know there are more than four of you that remember me.... What's up with that??? =============================== The above was a number of years ago. The daughters I mentioned are now 22 and 18. The older one is off serving the country as a "shipmate"--it's her 4th yr. The 18 yr old is now a Freshman in college. I now have two boys--9 and 7. 10 yr gap between the girls and boys. Much has changed for me, it was not up and onward either. It is good to see the classmates list growing. Before too long, hopefully there will be 100% particpation among us. I do miss you guys and miss those days. I am grateful for a very strong memory as I remember many (if not all) of you. That is something to me. Keep increasing the numbers, guys, and keep the updates coming. =============================== Life My Kids My 10 yr old daughter is, well, me basically. She's the tomboy and athlete. She plays basketball and softball. Give her the trees to climb the boys to hang out with and the jeans to wear (big ones because she wouldn't be caught dead looking cute.) She's smart as a whip, though she doesn't work to her potenial. Both my girls are ultra-sensitive and are truely good at heart. I am very blessed to have such wonderful girls. My 6 yr old daughter is the exact opposite of me. She's prim and prissy. She wants to be on TV. Her opinion of herself is she is the absolute greatest at everything and you are wrong if you think differently. She does it all. She sings the best, acts and dances the best and will be a star because she's Amber. My Job It's great. I can wear my jeans everyday. It pays well. It's challenging. I'm satisfied with my career choices.
