Recent longer major trips in the last 10 years: England, Ireland, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Seattle (should that count?), Philadelphia, Washington (DC), Montreal, Ann Arbor (Michigan), Austin & San Antonio (TX), Memphis, Nashville, and three major road trips around AZ, NM, and NV.

major purchase: got a gundo hack done. Figure that out. Oh--and a plug-in PHEV, but who cares.
Work: Professor (at the University of Victoria) and writer (new novel out June 2023, "The Watchers' Club") and Professor of Literature at University of Victoria. If anyone has anything cool or odd or nasty or anything vaguely informative, drop me a line. Not retired as of 07/23.
Relatively lately: on to a 2nd instalment of kids who are pretty cool.
Classmates somehow keep me. No doubt they have my credit card number. Do people think it is worth it?
