Kim's Story
Life
After moving to New Zealand in Dec.1980, I resumed school there, did the exams req'd by law, failed them miserably(!), and chose to move on and worked until I came home in Oct.1986.
Kids? I never thought I'd have 1, let alone 3! Two girls & 1 boy; my 2nd girl was adopted by a wonderful couple from N.J., and my son, unfortunately died at birth.
I love to ride Harleys whenever I get an opportunity, I collect skulls (hobby!). I guess I was pretty quiet in those days you all knew me; MY OH MY how one changes! That part of me is no longer! And I've still got a SICK sense of humor and love to laugh!
In 1985, while still o'seas, I did get married to a wonderful man, with a wonderful family.. hence the name, "Ronke"! However, both of us were very young, & of course, we knew it all at 18&21 yrs! We called it quits & still remain very close-all of us. I've remained single since.
After coming home to U.S. in '86, I was disappointed to find that everything had changed & old friends moved on. The move o'seas in '80 was very devastating to me at the time, and my only focus for yrs., was how I could get home and graduate w...Expand for more
/my class. To this day, I feel a huge void in my life for those years. When I found this website, I was estatic--okay, then I cried like an idiot!
As I was saying, I lasted back here in AZ, only 4 weeks and
went to CA to live with a cousin I hadn't seen in 11 yrs. He was a single father w/3 kids and I helped him raise them their 1st 4 years. I came back to AZ in 1990 and stayed.
I grew up, as did most of us, in Maryvale, but live now in the northwest valley.
I've read some of your bios, and they're really impressive! I'm gonna feel like quite the "Jethro" in comparison, when we finally meet! I made a number of "wrong turns in life", or bad judgements, and am a bit embarrassed to know that it's taken this long to pull my head outta you know where!
One thing has always remained true about me though; that is I've always been real, straight up, and not afraid to speak of my mistakes in life. I'm so envious of some of you!
Can't wait to hear from you all! You don't know what this means to me to be able to close this big gaping void in my life. Wishing you all continued success!
