Kim's Story
Wow, FORTY years have got behind us ...
In the last ten years I've become a pretty radical political activist, i.e., to the left--good thing, because that's how I met my wonderful partner, Albert. He's long since retired and loves to travel, so I get to run away with him about every three months! This next June? -- Iceland!! (Huh ???)
My daughter is happily pursuing her career in San Francisco, and we see each other at least once a year. I've got about 5 years to go before I can retire.
I've started by own greeting card business, and sell Kim's Recycled Greetings at the LOCAL coffee shop...Expand for more
next to where I work. I take old cards and love turning them into new greetings.
I became almost a total vegetarian about five years ago, and finally gave up chicken recently; but no, I'll never be a vegan. I turned off the TV years ago too and don't even miss it.
I love to freecycle -- I hate to shop retail -- I hate corporations with a passion.
I've been a political organizer for the last 5 years, and currently organize pickets at the BIG BANKs --
WE ARE THE 99% -- SEE YOU IN THE STREET PARTICIPATING IN DIRECT ACTIONS AGAINST CORPORATE GREED!
