Kim's Story
Life
After high school I got married, had two children, many different jobs and just living life day to day. In 1996, just 3 months after my second son was born I was diagonsed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). It was very hard at first adjusting to a life with this disease but I knew that I was not going to let it get the best of me. In 2000 my house caught fire and I lost everything so my family and I decided to move to New York (which is where I am currently) to be closer to family members and also Buffalo, New York has one of the most advanced research centers for individuals with MS (although there is no cure for MS at this time, scentist are working everyday to change that). When I moved to New York a whole new world of opportunities opened up for me. for awhile I just couldn't deal with all the abuse, shootings and big city happenings so I left there and now I volunteer for my small town Ambulance Co. I became a foster parent welcoming into my home teenage girls (if you know teenage girls wow what a challenge) I came to love and care very deeply for two of my foster girls which I have since adopted. I started my own Wedding and Special Event Planning business, it took sometime to take off but I am where I want to be and by the end of this summer I will be venturing into Canada with my business. (No Canada this year will have to wait until next year have a new grandbaby on the way, gotta love it) I have been divorced for 3yrs now after being married for 15yrs but as they say "Life Must Go On".
