Kimberly's Story
Life
I went to the Atlanta College of Art after Fine Arts Center for about as long as I could afford it at $12,000 a semester. I met John Stansfield in high school when I was a freshman, we didn't start dating until I was a senior and he proposed in 1992. I married at 19 in 1993 (God that sounds awful, to be so young) but it worked out quite nicely.
After we both left college we joined the Navy (for more college money) John is still in and served aboard the USS Hampton (SSN-767) Fast Attack submarine for five years. I served aboard the USS Emory S. Land subt...Expand for more
ender for two years. John is now on shore duty here in Greenwood acting as a recruiter and then he will be doing IT work for Southeast. He is an electronics tech/IT/communications type guy so he gets the good jobs :)
I stayed home with our daughter Finley until she was old enough to tell us what was happening at preschool (she is now 5) and then went back to work in Construction Administration. I am in construction. I keep coming back to it. I get to wear jeans and sneakers and right now I work four ten-hour days, so I get three-day weekends every week. Sweet!
