Kimberly's Story
I graduated from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS in 1989 with a BS in Nursing. After college, I specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care for 17 fabulous years! I completed my MSN in 2004.
For the last 4 years, I moved away from bedside care and have worked for a rapidly expanding-nationwide start-up company (Neonatal related, of course) as the Director of Clinical Operations. The company recently underwent a "reorganization" and I now find myself back in the job market!
Travel is my favorite hobby. I have traveled/worked throughout the United States as a Traveling Nurse. It's great to get paid while seeing the country!
I was also very fortunate to be able to participate in a medical mission to Honduras in 2000...a truly absolutely life changing experience!! If you ever get the chance to give back in this way, do it!! You will never regret it and you will never forget it!
Other wonderful places that I have travel include Jamacia, Belize and several places throughout Mexico, Europe...yes including Amsterdam. Italy is absolutely one of my favorite places. One day I will live there!! At least for mor...Expand for more
e than a few days.
I also like adventure...scuba diving, skiing, camping, hiking, vactioning where tourists don't go! I even tried sky diving (OK tandem) once!
I have a wonderful husband Robert and 2 daughters: Mariana (26) and Isabella (9). Robert is my chef, used to dance, artistic numbers guy.
Mariana graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2007 and is starting her career life. Mariana will be married to her college sweetheart, Charlie, in May 2011.
Isabella is now taking on the 3rd grade...and everything else in her path. She loves to sing, play soccer and ride horses.
Our future plans include TRAVEL as much as possible!!Spend as much time with our family as possible and enjoy all of the twists and turns that life keeps throwing our way!!
If I won $100 million, I'd give a good portion of it to my children & charity, then spend the rest on bills, hoe repairs, retirement and TRAVEL.
I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a terrible idea. As it turns out, they were absolutely incorrect.
How do I blow off steam... A large glass of red wine and a good movie!
