Kimberly's Story
Life
After JJHS....
Boston University for a couple of years, then transferred to Stanford. Graduated in 1982 and followed my empty wallet (instead of my heart, which I left in San Francisco...just kidding) back to Katonah so I could mooch off Mom and Dad while job hunting.
Tried children's book publishing and living on a shoestring in NYC, which was much more fun once Stanford roommates Andrea and Charlotte got to town. Married in '86 and had 3 gorgeous children, Annika, Skylar and Fletcher. Living in the little house on Lily Pond Lane lasted about 8 years before I left and moved to Katonah Hills. etcher is a JJHS sophomore.
Spent the nineties watching the blur of growing children, learning to use a computer, working for the Mt.Kisco Book Company, and going to graduate school. I couldn't have done it without Mom and Dad. They covered the kids instead of the tuition this time around. Took the family and visited Europe in 2000. Graduated with my MAT in 2001 and began work at the Cisqua School that fall. After a year as the assistant, I became Head Technology Teacher in 2002 and now spend my days teaching pre-K thru 4th graders and their teachers to be comfortable and conversant with computer technology. The latest topic? Internet safety and "Club Penguin". Favorite student quote? "The Internet is Google."
