Kimberly's Story
A few years after high school, someone invited me to a Bible study where I ran into Wayne Geiger. I hadn't seen him since high school and, although we didn't speak at all in school, we became good friends. A few months later we started dating and then we were married in 1985. We moved to New Orleans for him to attend seminary in 1990. While there he started working in radio. We lived in south Louisiana for close to 12 years while he attended school and pastored. During most of that time I took a break from my career to raise our four children.
We moved to the Kansas City area for Wayne to manage a Christian radio station. We co-host the morning show. After I get off of the air, I go to my "full-time" job. tion to the requirements of both jobs, we have to make quite a few public appearances and I do conference speaking, as well. It is fun, but there are times that I crave quiet weekends with nothing to do. Wayne is also teaching at a local Bible College and at one of the state universities. He teaches in the communications and broadcasting divisions.
We have four children (2 girls and 2 boys), ages 14-21, and a miniature Yorkie named Hershey. (She rules the house.) Our oldest daughter was married in June, just a couple of weeks before we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. I have been blessed with many opportunities, but the greatest blessing has been my family.
We have not been able to make it to a reunion, yet. It seems that something has always interfered, but we would love to make it to the next one so we can see old friends.
