Kimberly's Story
Life
Do I have a life? Oh, yes, but far, far different from anything I'd ever imagined. I live in east-central Florida, in a neighborhood I love, in a home I love. I've been married to my DH for over 15 years, and we have two beautiful boys, currently ages 14 and 11. Enough about them.
I am the happiest with my life that I've been in a long time. I'm active, have a circle of close friends that I see regularly, I eat well, exercise daily, and have hobbies that I love. I try to follow a spiritual path that brings me closer and closer to becoming the best person I can be.
I am active in quilting, where I let my artistic bent thrive. I create both traditional and contemporary pieces. I teach quilting for pleasure (certainly not for money), and I'm active in our local quilting guild.
I chose to spend the past two years teaching my children...Expand for more
at home through a cyber-school program offered in Florida. It's been incredibly fun and fulfilling, and I've loved getting to know and be with my children. Next year my oldest goes off to high school and I have so many hopes and dreams for him. I most wish that he will not have any regrets about his teenage years, the way that I do.
I haven't been back to Saddle Brook, since leaving in 1979. I lived about 8 years in Kansas City, MO, before coming here to Florida, where I took root. My husband is from Mexico (those 4 years of Spanish came in handy), and we have a home there that we visit for vacation. I still occasionally travel back to the Midwest to visit my relatives, and my mom came here to Florida to retire.
My dream now is to travel Europe, watch my children grow up, and become more joyful and fulfilled in whatever I choose to pursue.
