Kimberly's Story
Hey, whoever you are!
In case you're curious about what I've been up to, here it is. As far as work and education.....after graduating, I got my Bachelor's in Nursing from U of MD. I then spent 5 years active duty in the Army (don't laugh!) as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps (hooah...). I just ended my career as a Major this past year (after spending 7 years in the inactive reserves). In nursing, I've done labor and delivery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, school health, OB/GYN clinics, and dermatology. Right now I have 2 jobs - I work as a Forensic Nurse Examiner (like CSI but on alive people) and also I do limited obstetrical ultrasounds at a crisis pregnancy center. Whew!
As far as family, that handsome guy in the picture is my husband Mark Young, who I adore. We were married in 91. He was a Marine at the time. After getting out of the Marines, he finished his degree and...Expand for more
became a music and worship pastor. He's still working on his Master's degree (6 more classes!) from Liberty University. We live in a lovely pre-civil war log cabin near a mountainous state forest in PA. (No ghosts...at least not yet...) MUCH different from the near-city life I grew up in!
Mark and I have 2 wonderful boys. Bryan is 17 and is a senior in high school this year (that's just crazy). He plays the electric guitar and writes music. He's actually quite good at it! He is studying electrical occupations in vo-tech. He's also driving. I fear for everyone's life when he's behind the wheel. Christopher is 10 and is in 5th grade. He plays the trumpet and is a gifted student - extremely smart. He wants to be either a scientist or a zoologist when he grows up. We'll see what happens with that.
