Kimberly's Story
As most of you know, I did not graduate high school. I developed Mono and missed the finals. They told me I could make it up in Summer school but at seventeen you know everything...so I didn't go back. I decided to just party quite a bit and worked like everyone else. Then, in 1981, I met John Blackburn...we have been together ever since. September 14, 2010 we celebrate our 25th anniversary. We have two children, Joshua (28) and Erica (25) plus three grandchildren: Emily (5); Austin (3) --Josh & Kate are the parents and Jonathan (18 mo) -- Erica & Turner are the parents. We bought our home in 1993 and still live there today. control. The attacks from MS are not pleasant. It is not a life threatening disease but it can be a life altering disease. It was discovered when I woke up one morning with double vision. It lasted for about a week and then my vision was back to normal. I then had a MRI and a spinal to confirm the diagnosis. I've had it now for twelve years and work a full time job, 40 hours a week. I'm a Practice Manager of a medical office with Premier HealthNet. I have been with this company for 21 years. I decided to go to college in 1987 and obtained my Associates Degree in Medical Office Administration/Medical Assisting. Graduated top of my class in 1989, obtained employment with Premier and have been with them ever since. In a nutshell, that's my life so far.
