Kimberly's Story
Life
Right after high school, I moved back to California with my family. I got involved in a career in the airline industry and have lived in Texas, California, Michigan and now Alaska as a result.
I got married in 1994 and my husbands job (he's a pilot) moved us to Alaska. Boy did I go kicking and screaming! I just knew I didn't want to live in that frozen wasteland (I was born and raised in California, short of the four years in Washington). But what a pleasant surprise! ut Anchorage where we live is very normal and modern.
I work in a hospital in the administrative side of things now. My husband and I also own a used bookstore like my parents did when we lived in Centralia. My good friend Kim Randolph also has one too, that is basically a spin off of my parents store as well.
Some day I hope to acquire independent wealth or the ability to afford to work our bookstore full time and give up the other work gig.
Life is good, but busy. I have decided that this getting older thing really stinks! Especially when you begin to lose friends and family members.
