Kimberly's Story
Life
I am now a lisenced marriage and family therapist, having taken (and passed) the second of two (grueling) exams in December 2007. I am now employed full time at Siera Vista Psychiatric Hospital in Sacramento -- yes the one that has been in the paper endlessly. The hospital has changed administration and policies and the new administration is optimistic that the hospital can rebound. vices on the inpatient side) leading 3 groups a day and providing therapeutic services for up to 30 patients. The pace can be grueling, but the work environment is positive.
I continue to ride and train horses, and have a renewed interest now after taking a hiatus for a couple of years. A new interest is karate, which I began in August 2008. I find that this venue challenges my focus, confidence, and humility. I am facing my long-time anxieties and meeting the challenge.
