Kimberly's Story
After high school went to college at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor and was a registered nurse for 20 years, mostly worked as a chemotherapy/cancer nurse, and taught some community health education classes among other things, but towards the end of that career followed my heart and went back to school for design, and was a custom kitchen and bath designer in NJ from 2001-2007. I'm currently a marketing director at Directbuy of Syracuse, NY.
Also attended Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass. in the '90's for a degree in psychology and took many Small Business Association courses and became a Feng Shui consultant. I've continued to pursue a keen interest in psycho/spiritual, consciousness raising matters by attending lectures and taking classes nationwide as well as teaching many local groups, and am working on my goal to become a Life/Spiritual Coach. I consider myself spiritual but not religious with more than a nod towards Eastern philosophies, and have a natural curiosity about what makes people tick, dream, and thrive.
Divorced Jim Stout in 1993 after 13 years of marriage, he's a really, really great guy, I just changed a lot and we grew apart and I fell out of love because he could no longer match who I had become, nor did I match him anymore either, but it wasn't his fault. I've heard he ...Expand for more
is very happily remarried and he deserves the best. I've never remarried and I guess have been too lazy to change from my married name. Ha! I don't have kids, just a few cats and a dog.
I have been a bit of a gypsy this lifetime by moving around from town to town and state to state to follow my whims and passions and a seeming need for variety and new experiences with all of the ups and downs that go with essentially being uprooted, and though I have some regrets, (I guess we all do), there isn't much I would change. I continue to learn a lot about life and people in my travels and triumphs, and also from my many mistakes, in fact perhaps I've learned the most from my mistakes. I've had some wonderful and also some challenging romantic relationships that I have certainly grown from, but apparently there is still too much wanderlust in me to consider settling down any time soon. One of my favorite songs is Natalie Bedingfields'(sp.?)"Unwritten."
Have been seriously thinking about moving to California. I've been out that way a number of times for seminars and things, and it always feels like "home," as if something is pulling at me to stay and I usually feel a bit wistful when I leave. Another mini adventure may be brewing.
I'm sure there will be more chapters to this story, but that's all for now. ;)
