Life Back in 1975, I left Leland and began college in Santa Cruz... Lacking money, I worked for a winery, a rodeo company, a hi-tech company & National Car Rental before I met my husband, David. He was in the Navy. We were married in 1977 and spent the next ten years moving from CA to New Zealand to Japan to Washington, DC and back to CA where we stayed to raise our family while Dave deployed. We gave birth to three sons, fostered three daughters, gained an adopted daughter and now have son & daughter-in-laws up the yazoo. We have been blessed with 11 grandchildren. Our sons and daughter all joined the Navy-two on subs, 1 Seabee and 1 fleet. Along with their Dad, they all served during OEF-OIF. Our home has been a small zoo of animals ranging from dogs to rats to birds to reptiles of all kinds. Our kids never meet a creature they didn't like. Thank goodness they never found a bat!
