Kindra Peterson:  

After graduating from High school, I spent my Freshman year at University of Utah, where my favorite class was my downhill ski class during winter quarter... it guaranteed that I got to ski at least once a week! I went to school as a psychology major thinking that I wanted to specialize in child psychology. After taking some psychology classes I began to second guess my major and took a required nutrition class and fell in love with the topic. I changed my major and with no undergraduate nutrition degree available at Utah, went back to California and ended up at Cal Poly, SLO. I graduated in 1996 from Cal Poly with my B.S. in Nutrition. Following graduation I had the incredible opportunity of going to Atlanta and working in the Olympic Village for the summer games. I ended up back in Utah working for a couple of years at Primary Children's Medical Center, then moved to Scottsdale Arizona where I worked full time at a skilled nursing facility and also worked for Major League Baseball's Arizona Fall League where my boss was Frank Robinson and I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of current and former MLB players including Mark Grace, who I have been helping out at his annual charity event every year since then.
