Eric's Story
After high school, I studied a lot of electronics (at night on my own) and worked as a Volks Wagon and Harley mechanic (in Greenwich) during the day for income.
Then after I passed my 4 exams to get my "First Class FCC License" in radio electronics, I moved to upstate New York (25 miles east of Albany and 20 miles west of Pittsfield, Mass.) in the "foot hills" of the Berkshire Mountains in 1980, and married that same Summer...
There I self-built a house on a small mountain top, and after working as a Motorola "2-Way Radio" technician for 6 years, I started my own "one man show business" from my home doing mostly electronics service (and some sales) for municipalities (police, fire, ambulance, etc.) and other businesses (museums, ski resorts).
Then in 2007, I decided to leave NY state to fi...Expand for more
nd a better way of life, because the "new locals" and prop taxes became "toxic" :-( and I now live among a MUCH friendlier AND genuine type of "folk", along with MUCH lower taxes., here in West "by God" Virginia..!!
I'm now finished building another house (also self-built on a "hill-top'" location.!) and beginning to really feel-at-home among the "folk & land" just 5 miles east of this wonderful little town of Buckhannon...
I hope EVERYONE is doing well, and to those who may remember me, "drop me a line" sometime, as it would be GREAT to "catch up" a bit with those I remember with fondness.......

FYI up-date --- I just re-married (January 2017) and continue to do my best to "make myself useful" to those around me.....
