Life Life after highschool didn't go as I had planned. I expected to go through four years of school and become an elementary teacher. I did go to school, but never became a teacher. I joined the military, the Air National Guard, in December 1989 to help pay for school. This took me away from school quite often. I was stationed in California during Desert Storm. During my time in the military I also had training in Hawaii and Honduras. In 1990 I worked my first summer at Ford Motor Co. In 1992 I was hired full-time. I ended up working there for about ten years (counting my summer hours). During that time I continued to go to school, but eventually decided I didn't want to become a teacher. I began taking natural health classes instead. I made some great friends at Ford. In fact, I traveled through Europe for 36 days with one of them in 1995. We had the trip of a lifetime. Ford also enabled me to buy my first home-- a condo in Canton. I ended up living there for seven years. I never had anyone serious in my life until September of 2000 when I met my husband to be. It was a whirlwind romance. We were engaged in January 2001 and married in October 2001. We have been married now for almost four years and we have been through a lot of ups and downs.
