Mary's Story
The years have been good to us, and we are now retired and living healthfully in Kealakekua Bay, Hawaii. I graduated in 1982 from UC Riverside with a BS in geology, and spun that into a long career in environmental consulting. My husband and I had our own consulting business from 1997-2017, which was great as it allowed us to raise our three children together inside our home while making money. st that designs headstones for a well-known mortuary, 2) a Mechanical Engineer working on super secret stuff and a Master's Degree, and 3) an International Relations major that was commissioned as an officer in the US Army. Losing my dad to cancer at 67 years old while he was still a Sociology professor at Crafton Hills Community College had a profound affect on me.
