Kristine's Story
Life
After graduation from Clairemont High I moved north to Berkeley, where I attended the University of California. I ended up with a double major in Humanities and Zoology, finally receiving my B.A. in 1977. Since college I have worked in the publishing field as an editor, proofreader, and writer.
I met Jonathan Sandoe in Berkeley and we married in 1981. We have two children who have both gone on to college at the University of California: one to Santa Cruz and the other to San Diego.

We try to often eat locally from our vegetable garden. We also have 35 fruit trees and six chickens, who provide eggs. In addition, we have a dog and three cats who keep things lively. In the summers, because of all of the fruit we harvest, we make lots of jam, chutneys, tarts, and pies, as well as dehydrating and freezing the produce. Our friends and neighbors also enjoy the garden's bounty, but it does keep us busy.
Currently I am working on my master's in library and information science. My husband works in the computer software industry.
