Experience
I have been the managing attorney of Adams, King, and Smith law firm since 1995, in civil practice in Longview since 1980, and in the United States Army Reserves much of that time as well. My primary practice is general civil law, but I was the alternate municipal judge in Longview for almost 15 years, and I have done quite a lot of criminal law as a United States Army Prosecutor, Defense Counsel, Appellate Counsel in Washington, D.C., Regional Defense Counsel for Southwest United States and Panama, and Editor-In-Chief of The Advocate, the Army Criminal Law Journal.
I was selected by Northwestern State University to teach Business Law while stationed in Louisiana. After leaving the military, I was a senior trial lawyer and the Managing Attorney for East Texas Legal Services before going into private practice.
I am licensed to practice by the Supreme Court of Texas, and admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, as well as other courts.
