Krista's Story
Well, after 55 years, where do I start? I guess the best place would be after graduation since this is a classmates site. Has it been that long ago??....whew!
College
Attended Miami Jacobs in Dayton for a year after high school. Did home study course to receive my ART (Acredited Records Technician) credentials and worked in medical records at our local hospital about 35 years ago. Attended Hondros college and passed my real estate exam in 2001. Presently have my real estate license with Sue Boone Realty in Hillsboro, Ohio.
Work
After graduation and college, I worked for the Greenfield Area Medical Center in Medical Records. After my son was born, I worked as proofreader, typesetter and then secretary to Mr. Wilson Moon at Greenfield Printing. My dentist Dad needed an assistant and office manager so I left Printing to work with him and did so for 20+ years until his retirement in 2003. Started selling real estate in the fall of 2001, and in 2003 joined Sue Boone Realty. My husband retired in 2005, and we started a small business - Paint, Paper & More. We paint, wallpaper and do odd jobs. We thought it might subsidize our retirement, but it has developed into a full time job. Never realized at the time what a demand there is....job security I guess....lol

. We had one son, Bill. Ben and I divorced in 1981. I met and dated and married my UPS man, Jud Thompson (Miami Trace 1966), in 1987. He had two daughters. My mother passed away in December 1990. She and my Dad were raising my nephew, Keith (my sister, Teresa's son), and when she passed on, Keith lived with us. They all grew up and so far have given us 4 beautiful grandchildren (3 boys and 1 girl) and 3 beautiful great neices and one great nephew.
Several years ago, we returned to camping. First we got a pull behind that was great, but then decided we wanted to try an RV. Every chance we get, we are at the Lively Lady Campground along the beautiful Ohio river in Aberdeen. Jud and I enjoy our family, our friends and our work and our play. I would have to say we are having the times of our lives.
