Kristen's Story
Life
After graduating from CHS, I attended Central Michigan University, where I obtained an Elementary Teaching Certificate, minoring in music, earth science and social studies. I later completed an Earth Science major. Upon returning home, I renewed my relationship with Kris Kreiner, and a few years later we married (it was inevitable, you know). We moved to Westland, where Kris finished his schooling at Lawrence Tech. I obtained a teaching job in Belleville, where I worked for 13 years, teaching middle school music and elementary classroom. o Europe and several around the US. During that time, we also started our own web-based business.
After practically giving up, we discovered we were going to be parents. I quit my job and stayed home for two years to be with Katriina, born in September, 1997, just before our 20th class reunion. I went back to teaching to help pay bills, working at a small charter school in Ann Arbor. We left Westland in 1998, moving into our as yet unfinished home in Dexter. We live in the woods, on 15 acres down in a valley near the Huron River. We love it here, and invite all of our friends to come visit.
