Life I live with my husband Kenny and 15 yr. old son Mitch in Emerald Isle, N.C. We live on Bogue Banks. It is the island that runs east to west below Cape Lookout. Our new house has a great view of the ocean. We also have an 22 yr. old son Ken, who graduated in May from NC State. He is a computer science major, works full time in Raleigh and has been reaccepted at State for the next 4 years to get his Doctorate. We have lived here 21 years. We spent our first ten years managing an oceanfront campground and reaping the benefits of being fulltime "at home" parents. After Mitch came along we didn't want to be tied down all the time so we moved out of the campground but still stayed in town for the next 10 years. We have just moved in the last couple months to Emerald isle....a whole 6 miles...lol. Mitch loves it here. He is quite the surfer and loves living with the beach in his front yard. He is also an avid skateboarder. He loves to hunt and fish and has learned many wonderful things living here. It is very different than living on the mainland.
