Kristi's Story
Life
Who knew that grandchildren could be so much fun? Not me. I cried the day my daughter and son-in-law (Hope & Greg)) told me that they were having a baby. My first response - "I am much to young to be a grandmother". Then the drama of what to be called - not granny, memaw, momaw, etc. I am now known as "mimi". Workplace
Management - you either love it or you hate it. I LOVE IT. I enjoy determining a need and portraying the ultimate goal to the staff and then I stand back and watch them get there. I do not believe in micro management as I believe that there are many ways to get where you are going. What works best for me does not always work for someone else.
I have been at Sacred Heart since 2001. As in all my previous positions, I started out in a non-management role and within a brief period of time I was back in the arena. I currently manage the business office for Sacred Heart Medical Group and we employ about 70 staff. Needless to say, it can be a daily challenge and I never wake up in the morning dreading going to work.
