I moved from Buffalo, NY to teach art for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, NV in August of 1993! I taught elementary art for two years, then transferred to secondary school for the next eleven years. I've pretty much taught almost all the art courses available to a high school student: Art I, Design Crafts, Ceramics, Studio in Art, Photography, and Drawing. I loved teaching high school students the most! Through the years I advised many different clubs including an art club, a scrapbook club, a photography club and a Bible Club. In order to get in at the high school level I had to serve as the advisor for the Cheerleaders, ugghhh...you can imagine how I felt about that! I also served as an advisor for the Freshman and Sophomore classes for Student Council, and those were two great years of my life. I absolutely love teaching art, and there's nothing else I would rather do in my life. I've been married for 12 years now. I have a daughter who is 12, her name is Hope.
