Kristi's Story
We came to Tennessee 29 years ago, after having lived in 4 states. This is the longest we've lived any where! Tom's new career, with a company called Tutco for almost 25 years, took him all over the world, including the Middle East. Somehow staying behind with my own job didn't seem all that bad even though I had been invited to be a guest at a Saudi's compound. Culturally that would have been a unique experience. . . back to reality, it was scary.
We've had a wonderful life being blessed with one son, plus his wife, Kristin. Nine years ago we became grandparents and we now have two beautiful (ok, I'm biased!), granddaughters. Being grandparents is the best!
In between our love for travel including some states and six countries, we visit our granddaughters in Spring Hill, TN, and spend winters in Palmetto, FL. Yes, we retired four years ago to a 55+ community and are having more fun than ever. Sure beats the time we spent in the "cube factory"!

ickly, we are concerned about the beloved country our grandchildren are growing up in and their education. We are supporters and/or a sponsor to our local and Spring Hill, TN Christian private schools.
Along with our passion for travel and education, we also love dogs and are a supporter Southeastern Guide Dogs. Here in Palmetto, they train Labrador Retrievers to be âseeing eye dogsâ and our Tree Lakes Community has had the privilege of naming three. Besides our own adopted Black Labrador, Bo, we also support our local pet shelter in Cookeville. As with many of you, we help raise money for research for the American Cancer, Alzheimerâs, National Multiple Sclerosis Societies, as well as others.
Between kids 2 grandkids & dogs plus travel and fund raising, our docket stays pretty full. We feel blessed that our retirement has turned out to be a challenging yet fun chapter of our life.
Hope everyone is well and we look forward to seeing âya'allâ at our 50th Reunion.
