Kristie's Story

Life Just got back from vacation. We traveled and stayed in Seaside Florida. That place is so precious. The girls had so much fun. The water finally cleared up and jelly fish left after a few days there. The last part of the trip was divine and the beaches were breathtaking! i went parasailing at 500 ft up. WOW! Incredible! Seaside is the best place for families-much like Martha's Vineyard. Teaching again this next year- 2nd year back after staying home with my girls. Teaching (hoping for 5th grade) and coaching the Jump Rope Team. I started coaching back right after spring break and the kids just did amazing in their efforts and picking up the skill. The kids performed on Field Day and last day of classes. I cannot wait to see what they acheive next year with a full year of regular practice. We head to camp in July. I love coaching at the elementary level. Our family is planted in Texas. I am married to a wonderful man from Louisiana. I have been out of the classroom for 9 years but have been homeschooling my girls for a couple of years. They went back to school this year and SO I DID TAKE A TEACHING POSITION! I am very happy and excited to be back in the classroom. The children are fabulous and and what a joy it is to touch their little lives and be with children at the same time. I am teaching 1st and 4th. The transition from home to school has been surprisingly easy. It is good to be back! Children? My oldest daughter is now into acoustic guitar, writing songs, and jumping rope. She has fair skin and has red curly hair and green eyes=my fiery, passionate one. My youngest is now into soccer and cheering. She has olive complexion and straight brown hair with blue eyes= laid back, affectionate one. Totally opposites in EVERY way! But they are sweet girls. My youngest one had a very difficult start in life and we spent too many weeks in Houston at the Children's Hospital there. I...Expand for more
f ever you want to hear a God story and testimony of how God heals and redeems sad situations...email me and I will share how Jesus just touched my sweet family and restored my baby's body. The Lord still performs miracles! We have a precious church home where we worship and fellowship. We love how the Lord uses us in such a vast aray of ways to minister life to others. I do sign some when I am needed but that is not often anymore-not a real big deaf community where we are. I love reading and "faithbooking"-cropping memories is such a sweet way to pass down christian heritage. I like crocheting but never have time. I also, enjoy walking but the treadmill is all I have time for. After grad. HS, I went to LA Tech until 1992 and then transfered to LSU and then after that I moved in 1994 to Texas with my parents. Once in the Dallas area and I taught school for years. I had hoped to attend seminary in Dallas after college for children's/deaf ministry but the Lord led me to marriage in 1995. After a long battle with infertitilty and loss the Lord granted my hope for children. And what a precious gift they are. Blessings to all of you. Kristie College I have fond memories of twirling for Tech and mission trips and friends at the Baptist Student Union at Tech and LSU. I had the greatest suite mates in my later years at Tech. Patti, Melissa, Kirsten and then we lost Kirsten and gained the infamous Deanna. And then at LSU I made a good fun friend Kristi Brunet who also went to Tech...Glenn and Carrie said she had moved back to Denham Springs after Ark. I would love connect with any of them. Deanna lives 3 blocks from me and our kids love each other and play. We walked along side each other through 2 of our pregnancies. Marcy Naff and John David Armstrong sang at my wedding. I ran into John Armstrong at Children's Hospital in Ft Worth awhile back! Still looks the same! Blessings K
