Kristin's Story
I love the new format here; I'm looking up at my "interests" and it says "Musicals/walking/sleeping/cats" I sound like an 83 year old spinster.
As you have probably surmised, I am not much of a party girl these days as I have two wonderful, beautiful, rotten little monkey children who run me ragged: Maddie is 2 - and she's VERY good at it (anyone who has had a 2 year old will know what I am talking about). Will is almost 8 months old and a wonderful bunch of sunshine until you put him in bed for the night; then his head starts spinning and he screams his little lungs out which is what he is doing right now. Someday he will learn to love bedtime. I hope.
Got married to Mark Harris in September 2003; met him through mutual friends. Our first "date" consisted of a shared pitcher of beer (or maybe it was 3), karaoke (at least I think someone was singing) and me waking up the next morning with his phone number written from my wrist to my shoulder in laundry marker. Hungover, yet intrigued, I called the number, a proper date ensued and the rest is history. He owns a marketing company wit...Expand for more
h his step-father, is a wonderful Pop to our kids and is my goofy-assed best friend and there is never a dull moment in our house!
Before all this (I seem to be working backwards) I have spent most of my working life since college in the Staffing and Recruiting fields. I spent 2 1/2 years as a corporate trainer for a medical staffing company, travelling throughout the United States to different branches and that was my most fun job (to date). I also spent 4 years as a mortgage loan processor and that was the job which most made me want to tear my eyeballs out and run screaming into traffic (so far at least). I'm currently working part time at a retirement home as a healthcare recruiter and I love it!
That's about it in a nutshell; it's interesting trying to summarize 20 years of life into a couple of paragraphs. I've been in touch with a few friends from high school this year that I haven't spoken to in years and I've loved hearing their stories and what they are doing now. Hope this gives you a small idea of what's up with me. Hope to hear everyone else's stories as well! -Kristin
