Kristy's Story
Life
Let's see...since I graduated in '87, I moved to Kansas City with my parents in 1990. I waited tables at Applebee's and went to school. I went to Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. There I joined Sigma Kappa. I won a contest called "Miss Knockout" that a fraternity did and won an all expense trip to Chicago for two. While in Chicago my boyfriend proposed and we married in Aug. of 1991.
He is a Kappa Sigma so we confused people alot.
When he graduated from KSU in 1992 we went to Lawrence, Ks. to the University of Kansas Pharmacy school. And stayed in that area for 3 years. After graduation from there we went to western Kansas (where I almost lost my mind with boredom). We had our son, Jake, in Sept. of '95.
Then we left western Kansas (thank God) and moved to a little town to buy into two pharmacies in the area. We lived in a big Victorian house and had our daughter, Serena, in June of '98. We stayed ...Expand for more
there for 9 years until we got burned out on all work and not much play. Hence, the current move back to our college alma mater KSU.
We now live in Manhattan, Kansas and Matt works at the Army Hospital at Fort Riley as a pharmasist. I am currently seeking a job at K-Rock 101.5 here in town.
It is an awesome town! We have a place called Aggieville here that has bars and restaurants all in one area so that you can roam around. And we love living in a college town! Go Cats!
I've spent time in sales and recently in subbing at the elementary school. But my proudest moments are being a stay at home mom to my kids. And taking care of my wonderful husband who works so hard for us so that I can be home with them!
We have 3 dogs (a pomeranian, a pug and a half lab half rottweiler) and one cat.
That's about it! I hope all of my friends are doing good. I think back fondly on many a memory...
